Bobby Calf Procurement

We have 4 methods of bobby calf buying.

1. farm to farm truck pickup
2. fixed point scales
3. public saleyards
4. vendors bring their calves to the plant for over the hooks sale arrangements

Our bobby calf co-ordinator Tim Gore, is responsible for all four buying methods including the training of individuals involved in the process in relation to the recording of NLIS devises and ensuring the upload of those recordings to a central data base. The oversighting of the commercial transactions that occur in the process of the buying bobby calves but more recently and most importantly the correct manner in handling of the calves with a responsibility for the animal welfare requirements that relates to the bobby calves.
