Midfield Meat International
Midfield Meat International incorporates our processing division and boasts an internationally recognised, state-of-the-art abattoir. It processes beef, lamb, veal, mutton and their by-products. We have one of the largest capacity meat processing plants in Australia on a single shift basis, with a throughput in excess of 1.6 million beef and small stock annually. The plant is supported by a sales and marketing team which services clients throughout Australia and the world.
Midfield Pastoral
Midfield Pastoral incorporates several properties and includes dairy, calf rearing, beef bull and lamb feedlot components. These enterprises provide essential support roles for our processing plant.
Midfield Technologies
Midfield Technologies caters for some of our most exciting developments. We have invested a great deal of time and money in developing a number of new technologies designed to increase our productivity and enhance our environment, including a robotic lamb cutter and renewable fuel alternative, biodiesel. The lamb cutter is in use on a daily basis and the biodiesel concept is close to approval, meaning we will soon move to the manufacturing phase.
Midfield Co-Products
Midfield Co-Products is testament to our commitment to the environment and the minimisation of waste. Any by-products which cannot enter the food chain are processed at our rendering facility and made into tallow, Meat and Bone Meal or Blood Meal.
Midfield Commodities
Midfield Commodities was established in 2003 as the independent export trading arm of Midfield. Licensed by AQIS as a registered meat exporter, the division trades fresh and frozen beef, lamb, veal, mutton, goat, chicken and offal worldwide.
Midfield Trading
Midfield Trading was established in 2000. It distributes beef, lamb, pork, chicken, seafood, offals, trim, game meats and other processed and manufactured meats in Australia.
Midfield Import Export
Midfield Import/Export is one of our newest departments. Created in late 2009, this arm of our company is responsible for the import and export, supply and manufacture of a variety of products, including high grade commercial ice boxes and toughened polyethylene tool boxes. New products are being added weekly.
Midfield Transport
Midfield Transport started in 1980 and has grown to include a fleet of single and b-double trucks and a workshop which provides on-site mechanical maintenance and repair.
Meat Barns Australia
Meat Barns Australia is an ever-expanding chain of wholesale meat outlets, which offers the consumer top quality meat at excellent prices.
Midfield Direct
Midfield Direct provides primary producers with a popular alternative to selling livestock through the saleyards, reducing their out of pocket expenses.
